The Rescue Desk was created to fill a very real gap in animal rescue. Not the glamorous part. Not the cute kitten photos. Not the adoption-day happy tears. The other part. The spreadsheets. The receipts. The grant applications. The volunteer forms. The foster records. The policies. The emails. The tracking. The follow-ups. The giant pile of “I’ll deal with that later” that somehow becomes three months of paperwork sitting in a Google Drive folder nobody wants to open. The paperwork sucks. Let’s be honest. And there is a lot of it.It is ongoing, time-consuming, easy to fall behind on, and usually being handled by the same people who are already fostering animals, booking vet appointments, fundraising, answering messages, coordinating volunteers, transporting cats, cleaning litter boxes, and trying to keep the whole thing from catching fire.Figuratively.After working with non-profits, charities, community organizations, and animal rescues, along with almost 20 years of administrative experience, we decided to put those skills somewhere they could actually make a difference. That became The Rescue Desk.
